Learning at the Institute of Community Development

We facilitate a range of community development participatory learning workshops and short courses. From beginners' classes to intermediate classes and in-depth learning, The Institute walks alongside people who are eager to critically empower communities.

Collaboratively designed and implemented, these education programs include out-of-class work, face-to-face classes, site visits, communities of practice, reading, new media investigations and research.

We encourage reflective and critical learning within a participatory education framework.

Located at Borderlands Cooperative, we share a well-established community development library and subscribe to over 35 critical and community oriented journals.
